Darren Johnson AM
Darren is Chair of the London Assembly and Leader of the six-strong Green Group on Lewisham Council. He is also parliamentary candidate for Lewisham Deptford.
As Chair of the Assembly's Environment Committee Darren led the Assembly's opposition to a third runway at Heathrow as well as overseeing major investigations on flood risk in London, water shortages and the loss of London's street trees. He has also actively promoted measures to address low-pay in the Capital through a London Living wage.
Darren was born in 1966 and lives in Lewisham with his partner Dean, also a councillor. Darren is a graduate of Goldsmiths College.
