Green Party

Candidates for the Leadership, Deputy Leadership and Executive have been confirmed by the Green Party.

Adrian is the only candidate for Deputy Leader. Caroline Lucas, who is running with Adrian in a joint campaign, faces Ashley Gunstock in the race to be Leader.

 Adrian commented: “I am surprised that no-one else is standing and I would have preferred to have a proper contest. However, it is very gratifying that no-one is challenging me for the post of Deputy Leader.

“I will still play a full role in the election by answering enquiries from members and taking part in the electronic hustings and the hustings at conference.

“It is important that members vote in this election. There is more than one candidate for Leader and also for the important posts of Chair, External Communications Co-ordinator and Equality and Diversity Co-ordinator.

“I would also once again ask members to vote for Caroline Lucas as our first Leader - until all the votes are in and counted, no-one has won.”
