Greens were successful in calling for the Council to require
30% renewable energy in all new developments over 2,000 square metres.
This requirement will come into force when the City Council’s new Local
Development Framework documents have been finalised.

£690,000 over two years for improving energy efficiency in housing.
Following
Green Party lobbying, the Council agreed to set aside £35,000 for
actions to meet the Council's carbon reduction targets.
The
Greens chaired a county-wide working group on climate change, leading
to a £400,000 fund for energy efficiency that will save energy costs in
future years.

We were successful in calling for the City Council to commit to year-on-year reductions in carbon emissions of 6% each year.
