What drives Green group leader?

From the Eastern Daily Press, 06 May 2006

He lives, eats and breathes green policies and has been the driving force behind a Green Party that has emerged as the strongest in the country - and is now a critical force on Norwich City Council.

It may seem a meteoric rise, but politics and the Green Party are almost a way of life, his professional and political aspirations converging as he spends 60 hours a week on council business and survives on his £9500-a-year allowance...

He finished third in the Norwich South constituency at last year's General Election, a seat retained by Charles Clarke, and took heart from news that the politician who finished second that night, Liberal Democrat Andrew Aalders-Dunthorne, lost his seat to new Green councillor Tom Llewellyn on Thursday.

Next time around, Adrian hopes to be chosen to fight again. The Greens have hopes of being represented in West-minster, and, with such a strong voter base in Norwich, there is every chance that first Green MP could come from Norfolk.
