Jackdaw: Deeply irresponsible decision

Reacting to the news today that Energy Secretary Miatta Fahnbulleh has approved extraction from the Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea.

Adrian Ramsay MP for Waveney Valley said that the decision to approve the Jackdaw gas field in the North Sea is a “Deeply irresponsible decision. After a summer of intense heat driven by climate breakdown, this Labour Government has put fossil fuel profits ahead of lower bills. Jackdaw won't cut bills or secure our energy future. It just locks us into a doom loop of fossil fuel dependence.”
