Adrian Ramsay MP demands Reform restore funding for rural buses as X41 service is cut back

Adrian Ramsay, Green Party MP for Waveney Valley, is calling on Reform to provide the funding needed to keep rural bus services running, after it was annouced that the X41 will have a reduced service between Halesworth, Bungay and Norwich.

The X41 now runs only once an hour, and journeys are taking longer. Adrian and Peter Ianno, the Green County Councillor for Bungay, say the change is having a huge impact on people in Bungay, Halesworth and the surrounding area, with residents contacting both of them in large numbers to complain.

Adrian has requested a meeting with the Reform cabinet member to discuss the X41's timetable and funding.

Adrian Ramsay MP said:

"Rural buses are a lifeline. They get people to work, to appointments and to see family, and for many they are the only way to do it. Reform are refusing to provide the funding needed to keep the X41 going, and people in Bungay, Halesworth and the surrounding area are paying the price.

"Cutting rural buses cuts people off from jobs, healthcare and each other. I will keep pressing Reform to provide the funding our crucial local bus services need, and I will keep standing up for residents until this service is protected."
