Adrian Ramsay MP highly commended for animal welfare work at Nature 2030 Political Purpose Awards

Adrian Ramsay MP for Waveney Valley has been highly commended for his work on animal welfare at the Nature 2030 Political Purpose Awards.

Adrian Ramsay MP said:

“I’m honoured to be highly commended for my work on animal protection at the Nature 2030 Political Purpose Awards. I enjoy working closely with animal charities and cross-party MPs to champion real improvements for animals - issues which many constituents write to me about all the time. How we treat animals is a test of our compassion and values as a country.

"The Government made many welcome pledges in the Animal Welfare Strategy release last year. It must now deliver on these promises for farmed animals, wildlife and pets alike. We need to end the cage age, stop the exploitation of animals for blood sports and stop the import of trophies from hunting. The Government should also go further with a clear pathway for ending experiments on animals and stopping greyhound racing.

“A huge thank you to all the brilliant campaigners who are keeping these issues in the spotlight. I look forward to working further with them to see meaningful change in this next year."
